SPANISH…New Conversation Classes

Posted on September 3rd, 2010 in Blog by warren

As you may have heard, The Warren Hardy Spanish School has revamped their program to include a whole new parallel program of conversation courses to go along with the regular 1-4 levels.

They are all excellent, taught by San Miguel natives and if you have ever felt that you "know" a bunch but don’t speak very well or very much–then these courses are for you. In the usual Warren Hardy style, they aren’t overwhelming, they are a lot of fun, and you get to know lots of cool people that you might otherwise never meet.

Anyway, there is one course I have been very excited about, that has not been run yet, but it is ready to go. Current Mexican News Discussion! It’s for Level 3 or 4 students who have moderate proficiency or who have done some of the other conversation classes or anyone regardless of whether they have done any classes, who wants to have fun and exercise their speaking "muscles" and learn a great deal about what is going on in this country.

It is a current news discussion class, covering Mexican politics, policy, and security. It is taught by Manuel, who many of you already know, who is an avid politics guy. It will involve selecting articles in the Mexican national news, reading them, and then discussing them.

Definitely this class will open a lot of conversation doors.

My reason for writing is a selfish one–I want to take this course and not enough people have found out about it yet. I just found this out when I ran into Manuel in the Jardin. So I’m on the waiting list. If you are interested, give the school a call at 415-154-4017 or email Tuli Hardy at tuli_hardy@yahoo.com and get yourself on the list.

We could really have a great first discussion course in Mexican News.
